????: Malaysia Homeschool Unite http://littlekittle.com/forum/pendidikan-anak-anak/492-baby-sign.html#post3013 CHARM CHAMELEON CHATTERBOX: Baby Sign with my 2 sons
Silalah ke blog saya & suka nak mendengar pandangan dan berkongsi di sini dengan parents sekalian tentang antara kaedah pendidikan awal anak2 kita... |

| salam
dulu saya tak minat utk baby sign ni... sebab saya rasa tak perlu. saya rasa itu cuma momokan pada peniaga2 sistem ni je.
tapi bila my 1st son, skg 17months, dia tak tau cakap tapi 'berbahasa isyarat', i rasa sangat rugi sebab tak train sign language dgn dia. sekarang i pandai2 je interpret apa yang dia cuba sampaikan.
kalau i ajar dulu kan bagus... senang nak communicate.
i rasa dgn second one ni nak praktis sign language dengan dia. tapi i tak start ape2 lagi la... |

| Akachan, anak sulung saya pun kira late-talker, ni dah 5 years old pun dia pun comprehension grasp agak poor...sedih...kelebihan dia photographic memory tapi bila bab common-sense, aduh, susah betul nak bagi dia faham, saya ingat nak post topic ni nak tanya pendapat parents2 di sini...
DH berpendapat sign language perlu pada anak sulung kami ni jugak sebab keadaan dia yg macam tu, bagi variety sikit..pada baby kami nak tambah signing lain pulak, coz sign instructor tu rasa mungkin dia dah boring tu dia tak nak respon lately ni...harap2 betul kata dia, dia kata kebanyakan baby ni dia simpan dulu, tiba masa nanti dia akan keluar balik apa yg kita tunjuk ajar pada dia dulu..memang sesetengah budak camtu kot... |

| Dear Hanz and Akachan,
about talking tuh, it's best you "bath them with language". Language is learned best the first 6 years of life. That's is the "windows of opportunity" period for language. Kalau we just let them signing, then we will see them have no motivation to talk. Nanti die setakat nak cakap one word jer ker, tunjuk2 je ker Language is so important sebab nanti ye lah senang nak belajar dan nak belajar membaca buku and paling penting sekali comprehension lah.
If we think our child other language delayed, we really need to do something the soonest. I've a deaf son but who really likes to talk a lot walaupun kadang2 tuh tak paham benda apa yang die nak cakap. We have a build trust between us and he knows that what he wants to say matters to me. ????: Malaysia Homeschool Unite http://littlekittle.com/forum/pendidikan-anak-anak/492-baby-sign.html#post3041
I also met few other deaf parents yg anak die malas nak bercakap, and this is a sad thing sebab dahlah anak we all deaf, malas plak nak cakap, nanti progress lagi slow.
But, I think it's because the child has lack of motivation, it doesn't mean that we have to give them the motivation lecture. More to we follow their lead, what interest them, we Observe their communication signal and usually we respond right away. It's better that we wait and listen for the request.
Just sharing my reading and experience. |

Saya anggap diri saya masih 'merangkak' dalam signing process ni & suka explore experience orang lain, dok 'google' & visit relevant website & oogling signing videos from overseas.
Hasil searching saya terkini ada saya kongsikan dalam blog saya. Ini dia :- CHARM CHAMELEON CHATTERBOX: 5 Reasons to use Baby Sign Language
Harap dapat 'clear-kan' pandangan Ziba tentang Baby Signing ni... |

DH berpendapat sign language perlu pada anak sulung kami ni jugak sebab keadaan dia yg macam tu, bagi variety sikit.. | Dear Hanz,
what actually I meant is about signing to anak u yg umur 5 tahun.kalau baby tuh, I agree, because they themselves still have no words to speak out.
Maybe lain approach, lain view kot. The approach yg I pakai tuh is developed by a speech therapist jugak, and it's an evidence/research-based approach. The program is offered to late-talking toddlers and preschool age children with language impairment, as well as to children with cognitive with developmental delays under age 6. It works to my deaf child, and I thought it will help your 5 years old son.
But, I've never heard about it from any speech therapists in Malaysia. I learned about it from an article wrote by a canadian professional and a mother to a deaf son who is currently a lawyer and speaks bilingual.
I pun nak guna signing untuk my newborn tapi maybe setakat umur 9-12 month, and then I continue with my current method.
Hope that's help clarify my previous statement. |

| Oh-oh, salah faham sama2lah kita, eih minta maaflah yer... :>

| Hanz,
it's okay. we are all concern about our kids, kan. I just share the knowledge I gained, in case it benefits others, because kite pun tau banyak knowledge is from overseas. I resigned my work, finish all my cash reserve to go to few countries to attend courses and buy books from abroad just to help my child. Books that I found very helpful, but not available in M'sian bookstore. I just have to go extra mile because I set high expectation on my child. ????: Malaysia Homeschool Unite http://littlekittle.com/forum/pendidikan-anak-anak/492-baby-sign.html#post3052
I pun minat jugak nak involve in speech area nih and ader jugak satu uni tuh offered the post, but I've to decline it because I nak homeschool my son. Bertahun dok try homeschooling nih, try unit study lah, curriculum mcm2 lah, tapi kureng menjadi, 2-3 bulan nih baru rasa dah start jumpa style yg work to both of us.
Anyway, your blog mmg best. we share the same passion of attachment parenting!! keep blogging and I'll keep reading.heheheh... |

| Thanks sebab kongsi ttg bby sign. b4 this saya cuma baca2 sekali lalu aje, tapi sekarang saya dah x baca sekali lalu dah.. ehhe
Niway, saya tak penah try this baby sign, and i'll try to my 1month son. insyaAllah >''<...
kongsi sket...
Anak saya yang sulung memang lambat perkembangan fizikalnya. Hal ini kerana pengetahuan saya tentang perenting ni agak lambat. Bila dah tahu since my 1st son berumur 3 month, masa tu memang pecut abis. alhamdulillah (now 2 years and 6 month) skang dah fluent bercakap... Sebab umi dan abinya slalu cakap2 dengan dier... Allahmdulillah...
Since umurnya 1thn stengah, dia dah start bercakap dan banyak vocab sebab dia sangat suka baca encyclopedia / kamus2 bergambar... cara dia membaca adalah dengan guide daripada abinya. boleh kata guna sign process gak (maaf jika salah sebab blum familiar dengan kaedah ni)... maksudnya bila tgk gambar sambil buat gaya atau bunyi...and now he always revise the science book by itself.. alhamdulillah... |
