Can’t wait to continue our reading session tonight.
Tonight, he will read his 3rd book; Book 1c - Peter and Jane

p/s: Sorry for late update, I wish I could post more article soon due to I’m totally busy in development of Whizkid book, gotta publish it before August 2007 January 2009!
*OMG, I am super-duper-buzy-buzzy*
Independent Reader
Alhamdulillah, starting from today, my 3 years and 3 months old toddler; KiruaMi-cHan is an independent reader! *yeay*
His second book is; Book 1b - Peter and Jane. Subhanallah, I am truly amazed!

Last night, he could hardly wait to read the Book 1b by his own.
He managed to read and kept saying “I love to read book, mama” & “Mama, I want to read all night long”
He finished 30 pages by his own! *Oh God, thank you for such a lovely moment for both of us*
After his reading time, he willing to teach his little sister; ReiHi-cHan.
She looked so happy by having his brother as a mentor.
Oh yes, today I would like to share something
Here are a few things that you can do to help build your child’s literacy skills:
- Encourage your children to join in while you read.Pause to let them fill in a rhyming word or repeating line: I’ll huff and I’l puff . . .!
- Ask open-ended questions, such as What do you think is going to happen next? or Why do you think he did that?
- Move your finger under the words as you read aloud. This helps toddlers connect printed words to spoken words.
- Begin teaching the letters of the alphabet, starting with those in your child’s name. Make letter-learning fun with markers, magnets, glue, and glitter.
Try introducing the following types of books to your child:
- Knowledge book (encyclopedia, maps)
- Pattern books with rhymes and repetition
- Simple stories with predictable plots
- Concept books, such as counting and A-B-C books
So mommies, best of luck. And remember; reading is FUN! ![]()
First Time Reader
Alhamdulillah, it took me 10 days to teach my lil toddler KiruaMi-cHan his first reading book.
Today, both of us had completed our task. *cheers*

I took 15 min per day to guide him; page by page.
I started by 2 pages per day and I’ll added more page when I saw he is ready to go further.
And today; we done!
This precious day; he read aloud to my hubby and proudly showed his talent to his papa.
Papa smiled and granted him with big hugs and sweet kisses.
My day is worthy. Thank you so much Allah!
