Saya telah memulakan hari pertama kelahiran bayi saya dengan membacakannya buku-buku bercorak pengetahuan seperti Visual Encylopedia setiap kali bersamanya; sewaktu menyusukannya (BF) dan setiap masa terluang.

Saya memulakan langkah memberitahu proses sebenar kejadian alam semesta, sains roket, kimia, fizik, astronomi, alam haiwan dan tumbuh-tumbuhan bagi menarik minatnya menyayangi ilmu pengetahuan sejak bayi lagi.

Setiap kali melakukan aktiviti seharian, saya akan kaitkan situasi tersebut dengan sains, agama dan politik. Alhamdulillah, kini bayi saya yakin untuk membincangkan dan bertanya mengenai semua perkara di usia seawal 1 tahun ½ bulan lagi.

Saya juga melakukan eksperimen sains yang ringkas buat permulaan bersama bayi saya bagi memperkembangkan minatnya.

Gambarajah yang terdapat di dalam buku ini sangat membantu saya menerangkan fakta sains dalam bentuk yang mudah kepada bayi saya. Saiz buku ini yang kecil berbanding ensiklopedia biasa memudahkan saya untuk membacakannya buat bayi saya, walau di mana sahaja.

Buku “lift-the-flaps” ini sangat sesuai untuk anak-anak yang telah mula membaca buku siri 365 Days of Baby Einstein dan ABC of Art kerana ianya merupakan siri lanjutan kepada buku-buku tersebut.

Ketiadaan pengangkutan, tugas berat sebagai Pengarah Urusan serta kesibukan masa sebagai ibu sepenuh masa bukanlah alasan bagi saya untuk tidak memperkenalkan anak-anak saya kepada hasil karya agung dari Chagall, Renoir dan Seurat.

Berbeza dengan melawat galeri “online” yang statik dan galeri sebenar yang terletak jauh di luar negara, galeri ini membolehkan anak-anak saya memerhati dengan lebih jelas, menyentuh dan belajar mengenai budaya lain melalui lukisan yang pelbagai tema.
