Delightful Carte du Jour
Post by MamaFiza on November 23, 2009
Happy Monday afternoon hot ladies
How’s your weekend my dear? Hope you’ll be cherished your holiday with your loved one.
Just a swift update regarding our last week menu *Alhamdulillah*.
BTW, I would like to know: Do you have a weekly menu of meals that your family likes or more importantly eats?
Our family weekly menu is posted on the fridge (so it is easily viewable) including the grocery list right along with it. And I have no excuses to skip ‘em!
I’m 100% in-charge of my family healthyrecipes. However, deep inside, it’s actually satisfying and calming
It saves so much time and money *believe me!*. Have you realized by now how much I love simplicity!
With my menu planner, it helps me to look it over each morning so I can get a head start on dinner preparations. I always stick strictly to it. From my monthly menu plan, I made a monthly shopping list of ingredients needed for the recipes.

Yesterday lunch: Crispy Chunky Beef Veggies Pizza
(Large Size, I made 6 pieces!) ^-^
My tips on how to make your homemade pizza deliciously crispy and crunchy?
Please rub your pizza base with olive oil and after that layered with garlic butter before proceed with bologne saucesSimple rite?

Yesterday dinner: Baked Macaroni Chicken with Cauliflower,
Creamy Mushroom, Herbs & Cheese Sauces

Yesterday dessert: Smooth Silky Chocolate Cheesecake ^0^

Spinach Fettuccine with Lamb Herb Stew. Just can’t resist!

Grilled Stingray with Turmeric Leaves

Uh oh! Grilled Stingray with Stir-Fry Veggies~

Chicken Green Curry with Steamed Veggies ^_-
Since year 2004, every week, one of my aims during the holiday break was to compile a monthly menu plan. I was first inspired to work out a monthly menu plan by my cooking guru: Sir Jamie Oliver! It is a good challenge.
So how about yours? Do care to share with me here with your family menu tips
Gazillion thanks~

Keep on fresh & healthy dishes for your family, mommies !
May Allah swt always bless & help you
Amin~
Gambatte ne! *cuddles*

I’m so much impressed by ur cooking skill!
How u do it great every time?
I’m not a good cook myself, so sometimes the food turn out not as good as it should be. It’s kind of frustrating after u put much effort on it.
Btw, I started using olive oil – thanks to ur blog.
But, how about cooking sometimes like sambal/kari since we are using santan.
Take care & keep blogging.
I love ur HS activities. Trying to do that slowly.
mama, very tempting!!! haha
Dear glamorous lady Miss Iqa
Subhanallah, thank you so much for your lovely words my sweetie. OMG, I’m so speechless! *hugs*
I’m very glad to know you’ve changed to olive oil. That’s awesome!
p/s: yes, I’m using olive oil for my Malaysian dishes too ^-^ More tasty.
Honestly, I came from different side of the world, my family have been dealing with hard times before. Previously in our early stage, we need to survive RM50 per weeks for 4 persons (my hubby + I + KiruaMi-cHan + ReiHi-cHan). It’s very struggling moment as wife & breastfeeding mom, I need to prepare healthy foods for my husband, toddlers and me. That’s why food is really something valuable to us. We’re not dare to waste any of it.
As for me, it’s not a secret. I’m still learning to polish my knowledge in cooking till today. I love to learn anything related to cooking shows, cook books, my great grandma’s + my beloved grandma’s, my superb mom’s & my special MIL’s cooking tips. Plus, my hubby really support me about this matter. My kids endlessly help me in my cloudy days.
Since my first day cooking for my very own family, I pray each time before I started cooking” “Please dear Lord, help me to provide the best for my family & let ‘em grow healthy & cheerful everytime they eat their meals made by me, thank you for blessing us with your wonderful treats. Amin~“, then I try my best with smiles: 100% focused so I won’t mess up or else will cost more & burden my hubby with our financial issues (previously).
Alhamdulillah, each time I did it, everything will be smooth sailing
I’m very grateful to God.
Please don’t be afraid to try. I believe practice will makes you a perfect chef! Insya-Allah, I’ll always pray for your Miss Iqa >_<
Keep up your great hard work, gambatte ne *hugs*
