Preparing for BIG Day
Post by MamaFiza on October 27, 2009
Ohaiyo gozaimasu gorgeous mommies
Wish you’re in wonderful day *hugs*
It’s been a pretty busy week already with our homeschool final semester for year 2009.
I’m going to keep it real here, for a moment. I hope you don’t mind. I’ll get back to my homeschool tips, work at home moms talk, event reviews and all that jazz within next 2 weeks.
And yes, I’m very busy preparing for BIG day, next week *shhh*

Today? I just want to update and whine a little, okie dookie? ^0^
First an update. We’ve been working really hard: homeschooling schedule & outstation job. Extremely hard.
To me it’s a great privilege being able to deep dive into some of the most hip education lifestyle (homeschool is ROCK!) plus surrounded with amazing new technologies in home sweet home (love our family’s workstation, Alhamdulillah!).
My husband (the King!) and I had discussed: brainstorming ideas on how to leverage and expand our online job services to market together with our beloved kids (yes, they’re our biz partner too
). We’re having so much fun and I’m very much aware that doing this as a job which allows me to share valuable moment with my family is something I should never take for granted.
Heading into crunch time at work – we need to have everything up and running before the new year (2010) begins.

Hola kiddy pie ^0^
Many of our loyal blog readers have been contacting me over the past couple of days asking me to reveal details about my new workshop: WAHM Workshop with MamaFiza. However, I’m terribly sorry that I had to be quite for various reasons. Number 1: We’ve been in negotiations with our outstation job clients (VVIPs). They typically do not allow us to talk about the stuff they’re planning with us to public. But hey, money rules and so we’ve been quite.
Don’t worry, this will change shortly and I’ll try my best to reply your request regarding WAHM Workshop within this week. Insya-Allah.
p/s: One thing I learned during my hectic years of entrepreneurship is, that if you really believe in something, you are going to overachieve more than you thought of would be possible
WHY I heart my cuddly husband as my personal manager & my kids as my private consultants?
They are outstanding! Their vision, focused, open minded, thought-leading and bring to the table many different view points, which I particularly enjoy (and undoubtedly amaze!). The conversations we’re having (strictly just in workstation areas), is so much inspiring, I love it! *Alhamdulillah*
Most of my close friends keep asking me how I cope with the distraction working on so many different projects. I believe: Love comes first before money!
Privately, I’m enjoying my time with the love of my life – who in many ways forced me to do exactly what I’m doing these days >_<
Oh, BTW, I almost forgot to mention: We will have great job openings available at LittleKittle.com .

Update from the King: If you started to miss his blog posting, he’ll be back after his outstation duty & he will write in Malay language (requested by LittleKittle.com’s readers via his personal email! O’ boy, I’m thrilled
).

Did you agree that: If you look good, you feel good? *I do*
Certainly we should all try to dress our kids to look their best but sadly many people not even care about their children physical appearance.
Plus, being fortuneless isn’t an excuse for being dirty or slovenly. Significantly as clothing goes that’s what garage sales, online stores and thrift stores are for many good, nearly new and stylish outfits can be found there. Doesn’t take a lot of money to look good!
Today, I would like to share about “How to Dress Your Kids in Comfort“.

Special sponsored gift from our latest advertorial client: Miss Aslley ^-^
Kindly note: just because something looks good on a hanger, though, doesn’t mean it will be comfortable or practical for the child. To dress children appropriately, parents need to know their kids’ activity levels, body type, daily needs and daily schedule and respond to it accordingly.

My kids in their comfy apparel ^_- Alhamdulillah~
As a mother of four, I don’t worry too much what my children wear except as long as they are comfortable, neat, clean, hygienic and fresh looking – that’s all that really matters to me. “Comfort” matters the most to my family and me. However of course, I would never get too comfortable that makes everyone in the family looks out-of-place.

No sweat, rite? Versatile!

Happy-go-lucky
My family comes first before myself in all respects. If they doesn’t look well kept and clean, no matter how I am looking I will be looking lunatic.
Sorry, but I disgust to see a mother with her hair and nails done; donning the latest fashions when her child is looking miserable. That is simply ridiculous.
Please do remember that your kids are the best accessories to any of your outfit. They are a direct reflection on you, and you can’t look good if you kid doesn’t.

Guideline:
- Do think wisely: Little girls may look absolutely precious in ruffles and lace, but let’s be honest, for their daily homeschool routine, your kids will more likely love to wear simple outfit for fun activities. Practical clothes please!
- Buy with an eye on your kids’ proclivities: If your child is very active, buy clothing that will allow him to run, jump and play.
- Make it easy on yourself and your baby. Provide your toddlers (potty-training child) to wear “easy-to-manage-outfits” or described as “dash-n-go” style clothing. They need simple to unfasten/snap, or pull-on type clothing during the day.
- Dont forget to include simple to zip jackets with a built-in hood in their wardrobe list.
- Buy items that count as “classic” and “timeless“, especially when the child gets to school; T-shirts, Polo’s, simple dresses and shorts always work, and you can add trendy accessories.

Notes:
- Buy clothing one size too large, and make sure the clothing is made of comfortable fabric, give extra consideration to clothing that contains elastic.
- Please stay away from clothing for girls that inappropriately sexualizes them, or boys’ clothing that is printed with inappropriate messages.
- Don’t dress your child in lace-up shoes unless he/she can tie and untie them himself/herself. Till then, pick slip-on’s or Velcro. Avoid include drawstrings, ties and badly sewn hems.
