How to Make Praise Awards for Your Baby and Toddler
Hello mommies *cuddles*
Did you ever wonder?
Many times as parents we spend our time correcting the behaviors of our children, which tends to feel like we’re focusing on the negative.
Refocusing our attention as parents onto the good positive things our babies and toddlers do can do wonders for your children and the relationship that you have.
Praise awards are a simple and easy way for you to let them know that you noticed something great that they did.

I made “Big Bro” & “Big Sis” Award for our kiddies using Microsoft Word
Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results ~ Willie Nelson
——————————————————–
Below are some tips of How to Write Praise Awards to your Babies & Toddlers:
- Step 1 : Get the awards that you want to use ready.
You can use regular pieces of paper and simply write a note to your child.
You could prepare certificates on the computer and print off for your children.
You can use die cuts of various shapes like stars or heart and write on those.
You can choose to be simple or creative with how you design the awards.
Whatever you chose to do, have a stack of them ready and nearby.
- Step 2 : Spend time with your children each day make it a goal to find one really positive thing that you see each of them do.
It may be them sharing a toy with another child, or reaching out to a new friend at the park.
It does not have to be big, but it does need to be positive, something that you would like to see them do more often.
Tadaa~
- Step 3 : When you get a chance use one of the special pieces of paper that you choose to use for their praise awards use a marker and fill it in with, “I was so proud of you today when…” Then tell them what it was that you saw that made you happy.
If you can do this without your child seeing it will make presenting it to them more special later because they will be surprised that you noticed.
- Step 4 : Make it a dinner tradition to hand out praise awards over dinner so that the child can be recognized for the positive action in front of others.
This will make your children feel valued and loved, it will also make them focus more on continuing the positive behavior to receive more positive attention.
You do not have to do it each night but often enough that kids will remember that you are looking at all the good things that they do.

Today, I would like to share on How to Make a Class Set of Awards:

Colorful Awards~
As a mother, I always had mixed emotions about Awards Day.
One side of me always thought that everyone should be appreciated in some way.
The other side thought that those who worked the hardest deserved their own day to be special.
Then, I thought of something that would make everyone feel better.
I decided to make my own class set of awards and make them personal ![]()
Things You’ll Need:
- Paper
- Ribbon to be curled (or strips of paper)
- Markers
- Safety pins (or hole-punch, scissors, yarn)
Step by step guide:
- Step 1 : Using your colored construction paper, make one large circle for everyone.
Make sure you use a color that is light enough for writing to show up on.
- Step 2 : Cut pieces of ribbon and curl them.
- Step 3 : Glue or staple the ribbon to the bottom of the circles to create your award ribbon.
- Step 4 : Add a safety pin to the ribbons to attach to clothing.
You could also choose to punch a hole in the top of the circle and add a ring of yarn to place over the child’s head instead. *we do put on wall of fame ^-^ *
- Step 5 : Think of something that makes each child in your family special.
No one should have the same compliment.
Think of something for everyone, even if it says BEST SMILE or MOST PERSONALITY.

Smile
- Step 6 : Write the compliment on the circle neatly along with their name.
- Step 7 : Conduct a small homeschool awards ceremony in which each child is recognized separately in front of their family.
Cheering their siblings on makes for a good etiquette lesson as well.
Your lil ones will truly appreciate your extra effort to make everyone feel worthy.

How to Introduce Your Toddler to Computer Games
Ohaiyo gozaimas mommies
Wish ya in sweet day *hugs*
Today, I would like to share tips on “How to Introduce Your Toddler to Computer Games“.
Computer games are proven ways children can develop puzzle-solving skills, analytical thinking, deductive reasoning and hand-eye coordination.
For early introduction to “How to Teach Your Baby to Use a Computer“, you may click here

You may want to keep computer games away from your children, but if they find a way to play anyway, you mind as well help guide them along, to make the video games as beneficial as possible.
*the King big job to conduct KiruaMi-cHan’s through his passion in car; car books, magazine, games, Hot Wheels, Top Gear Show & History Channel: Ice Road Truckers*
There are a variety of ways and methods that you can create a positive aspect out of computer games and the whole family will enjoy them.
You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else ~Albert Einstein
Let’s begin!
——————————————————–
How to Introduce Your Child to Video Games
Step by step guide:
- Step 1 : Consider the system.
Before you go out and buy the latest and greatest computer/video game system there is, you should do a little research on what the systems have to offer.
The big three systems are the PS3, Nintendo Wii and XBOX 360, but the one with the most kid-orientated games can be found on the Wii.
There are also alternative video games like simple “Plug-N-Play” games or Leap Frog branded video games.
- Step 2 : Focus on the educational.
Instead of just time in front of the television, you can provide games that your child can take something from.
Get a game that involves using math or spelling to help them get through the levels.
There are a ton of computer games like this and many video games geared specifically towards the pre-school crowd like Elmo, Mario Math or a Dora the Explorer game.
- Step 3 : Check ratings.
If you want the children to have a few games that are purely for the fun factor, then before you buy them, you should check out the ratings first.
The Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) gives ratings to every game, much like the movies, and are as follows:
Early Childhood (three and older)
Everyone (six and older)
Everyone + (10 and older)
Teen (13 and older)
Mature (17 and older)
Adults Only ( 18 and older).

(as Mac user he needs to insert combination keys: Apple+Shift+3)
- Step 4 : Understand the rating is labeled on every package and a younger child should only be playing the games that contain their age bracket unless you approve something higher.
- Step 5 : Be sure to exercise.
One of the things that video games may lead to is laziness, so encourage and introduce games that require physical work.
Many of the Nintendo Wii games require the player to interact with their body and studies have even been released that it is a good form of exercise.
- Step 6 : If you do not want the Wii, then consider things like a DDR Dance Pad or the Fisher-Price Smart Cycle that actually requires players to pedal as they play the games.
They will be having so much fun that they may not even realize that they are exercising.
- Step 7 : Limit video game playing to only a half hour a week so that they do not become attached to the system.
You may even want to consider limiting it to weekends or every other day, so they get used to the limited time and are not playing for hours and hours every week.
Our kiddies daily “clean-up” schedule
- Step 8 : Do not let them take it for granted and use it as a reward for doing chores or getting good grades, try not to let the system become a priority over important things like reading, family time or home chores.
- Step 9 : Play video games with your child.
Make it more of a family activity. It will be a lot more fun for the whole family and you can learn together.
- Step 10 : Move the game console OUT of your child’s room.
If he has easy access to his games in his room, he’s more likely to play them at all hours, including late at night.
An ideal place for a game console or gaming PC is the den or the family room; somewhere you have control of it.
